and we are back for ep three. its a get together between master rick and young kyle. and its time to turn things up a notch. kyle hits it unbelievably hard with >after fall<. have you ever tried head banging to disco music? if not, now is the time, because this track will make you do just that. there is no denying. banger! on the b-side the godson eases down a little and lifts the classic >love & happiness< a capella to work it into a hypnotic groove. build it up! the third track sees kyle and rick teaming up, where kyle provides the drums and rick delivers the groove. a futuristic piece of jazz techno, 22nd century shit, that plays with your mind and demands you to move.

here comes edwards follow-up ep. this time he goes a slightly deeper and more direct. it might be the purest music we ve ever heard from the berlin-based producer. all the crazy clubgigs are manifested into hi music now. of course still with the classical edward style somewhere between dark minimal and trancy deephouse aesthetics. >bush of crows< is somewhat of a siginature edward track. but a very rough one this time. with a comfortable paranoia, this track unfolds itself into a little peak time extravaganza. on the flip, he cools everything down with a warm house tune called >the ghetto< and he adds a certain >blockparty romantic< to it... b2. is once again one of those more minimal edward tracks were he masters to be on point with just the core essence o sounds. edward remains a real romantic for sure...

with 2009s magnificiently deep >cone ep< raudive aka oliver ho became an integral part of the ever brilliant macro family. the man is in there for a reason. now he drops one of macros most dancefloor-centered, yet distinctively future forward outings so far. >paper< - the chord, the bass, the strings! all deepness ingredients are there and it would be just classic if it wasnt raudive in control, whose chord is rather acoustic than synthetic, whose strings are rather xenakis than detroit - and whose bassline is just pumping genius blasting any reference system. but its a double pack of excessive excellence. >brittle< is papers evil sister and a giant step in groove design, throwing the thrills of the unknown right at your dancefloor. its repetitious, maniacal vexation patterns put any record to shame that has ever been called hypnotic. 2010 is right here. the ep is rounded off with the shimmering >sienna< - a no-beat melodic variaton set against the warmth of grainy crackle. one of the most thrilling releases by one of the most thrilling labels

truly beautiful deep house records are things to be treasured, akin to proper songs that will last the test of time, not made to meet a fleeting fad. this is one of those records and a real pinnacle & departure for blm & pawas. although the term deep is an oft overused one, >waiting game< personifies the genres true key traits with a subtly moving groove that gradually builds, using layers of subtle percussion and a rich, warm synth motif to make a rich tapestry of sounds before finally introducing the beautiful female vocal that gives the track its name. patrice scott liked the track so much that he agreed to remix it - his first ever outside of his own, excellent, sistrum label. using plenty of the original track parts but taking it a different direction, patrice really has come up with something special. the track moves along with snippets of the main vocal and clever use of the main synth, the groove being underpinned by patrice s classic sense of production before moving into a more classic >detroit< ending - a mindset with a bigger, more dramatic sensibility

stewart walker started his career on the mythical detroit label matrix, did some stuff for force inc, tresor, mille plateaux and minus, before founding persona. we really believe scratched notes is among the very best music he has ever released!

we have never done a project like this before where the artists choose all the remixers themselves. but for the crazy italoboyz album >bla bla bla< we found ourselves not really knowing what to do. so instead of forcing our own ideas for remixers we went back to the source and let the artists run wild on the a&r. marco and fede commissioned all the remixers themselves. the producers they chose are a very diverse bunch and the vinyl 12inch takes a sampling of the best material from two very big underground names. on the a-side das kraus duo turn it a super jackin yet also very haunting rendition of >oh mio dio.< it sounds like pitched up chicago house meets demon days. on the b-side old school master dandy jack turns in one of the oddest records ever on mothership with some unusual sound design, voices and semi-dischordant note runs. super weird for the super weird! whatever you think of this odd lot no one can deny these remixes definitely carry the indistinguishable mark of that ever so quirky duo, the italoboyz

andrade is the fresh faced insurgent whos been pulling at the hearts and ears of listeners ever since his debut release on the french label time has changed last year. now, in only a short time the young man has built his sound so that it captured the attention of steve bugs dessous imprint. the pumping, disco storm that is face de bouc is like taking a ride down the street into funkytown centre! lazy, swinging beats underpin a monster baseline track that lifts and builds as hot horns and cosmic elements become intwined in the mysterious narration. fellow french power player d julz remixes‚..de bouc in his typical upfront and hi quality style. urgent, dubbed fragments of party house phase in between flashing, energetic percussion. housemusic 2010. the tight grind of old rules is a perfect companion to these two monsters, then. operating on devious, dead funky sub levels its a tight and modern take on stab laden house classicism.

basti grub is a specialist for extraordinary and outstanding productions. loving music from his early childhood on. he seems to have a different approach to electronic dance music. these 3 tunes here are combining afro beats with wonderful rhythm driven latino tech house sounds, spanish guitars and smooth but subtle vocals and melodies. its also a bit different from his usual productions concentrating more on rhythm & drums than usually. he left certain elements and hooks out to let the groove develop and this is probably the best thing he could ever do.

for this 24rd release, this various artists propose one track by wally callerio ever seen on dufflebad or shaboom for example. this track is one favorite tune of derrick carter since many years. luca bear, italian dj producer seen on bretzel records delivery a powerful tek-house track. a limited release for your ears.

back in 1998 this was probably just about the wrongest record you had ever heard … and it has to be said that not much has changed. forshaw has a knack of turning out ridiculously hard and mangled electro and techno tracks – but still managing to make them sound >poppy<. sometimes, as in the case of rockford for example, it is because he uses well recognisable (but unexpected) samples. but more often it is just because he manages to make tunes (no matter how hard) that make you stop gurning and start smiling.

finish copy promo. spirit?s sister label to his ever prolific inneractive music, and if carl craig produced drum & bass 203 music would be the label he?d release on, detroit and soundscape inspired d&b, funky grooves and infectious bass lines, this is a great spirit record for fans and dj?s alike.

this man cant currently be stopped. following his releases through the 2nd season 2009 (>marvin” on compost, >smaul 06< & >smaul 07<) in january 2010 acid paulis >riverboat tour< came out. now, it seems he opens this years summer season with these two psychedelic thrilling tracks. even though he had been touring a lot with the notwist last year, acid pauli was pretty often an invited, musically refreshing guest in berlins minimal techno (what ever) scene. den mahlstrom rauf leaves no doubts about. great build up he does by keeping tension over five minutes to unlash finally the madness charge with a levitating reverse-ducking-compressed melody. den mahlstrom runter (a play on words of travelling on a boat and getting milled…) seems to be the return from the trip he gives on side a. it is the same track reworked. his musical drama goes faster but deeper under the cortex – but >how lucky a fate< deliverance comes at right time taking the track over to a known housy and deep realm.

naked musics nude dimensions part 3. originally released in 2001. includes tracks by deep sensation, miguel migs, satin souls, jersey street and many more plus a special weekender remix on jersey streets step into the light.

another topical 12inch from the familiar sv brand, for your stylish yet sweaty boogie nights... side a: riccio remarks his own true remixing abilities with this first track on side b. distant sounds of a glittery era blend perfectly with the tricks of nowadays in a track that is as ever stopping as explosive on the floor. side b1: perfect strings and horns crescendos do the job. this should equally appeal to both straight and gay crowds... pure paradise garage in spirit. side b2: hold tight for the final surprise. yes, this 3rd track in the 12inch knocks in a rather unexpected, slightly latin flavoured intro.

its still like that: even though digital is everywhere there is still something very special about having your own tracks on a vinyl release. so this is it again: the very best of the last releases on koletzki_s sublabel stil vor talent digital on a double-sided vinyl edition. starting off with two tracks by bruch & junior that couldnt be more different: while >fiesta de la residencia< sounds like somebody threw some spanish vocals and trumpets into a pool of tech-house beats and basslines at a maniac afterhour on the white island (ergo: great),>sunset< is the deeply euphoric sound for the morning after. the synthesizers so crisp and all around you, the beat and bassline so warm and seductive: this is purely magical music that will make you forget when the sun went down or up the last time while still making you want to shake your legs to the strong bassline and chunky loop. hit! on the flip then comes a re-work of a massive hit on stil vor talent: a 2010 version of nicones >una rosa< complete with the original spanish vocals, but a much more grooving loop that turns into an absolute percussion fest. claps turn into effects and we all raise our hands to those reverbed original vocals. last up australian murat kilic with the wonderfully oldskool house anthem >summer traffic<: great melodic pads, a superbly harmonic bassline and when the breakdown kicks in, an ever-indulging xylophon melody. this whole record has got summer written all over it and helps us all get through this icy winter.

mike maze returns for 2010! some of you might remember mike maze from one of his older projects together with martin gast as abysm. >future love< on marc romboys systematic label was one of the labels best sold releases ever. >the path< is a deep technotic track with an epic instrumentation. warm chords fly over the dark notched groove and the synths have an almost trancy touch which puts you into a great mood. including mixes by autodeep and micha mischer.
